Bolton Food Festival 2019

by Deb Lyons

For the third year in a row, once again Eagley Band was chosen and invited by Bolton Council to entertain literally thousands of people who attended this year’s Food Festival on Sunday afternoon, August 25th.

With temperature records being broken throughout the UK on the August bank holiday weekend, we took to the stage at 2.30pm in 30C heat (shirts and straight ties being the order of the day!) and entertained a huge and very attentive crowd with an eclectic set ranging from O.R.B., Amazing Grace and Birdland to music by Genesis, Toto, Michael Buble and many others. Our featured soloist was Flugel Horn player Janet Walsh who performed a perfect Rodrigo Concerto di Aranjuez and our set also included When You Wish Upon A Star, How Far I’ll Go and concluded with Forget You without time to squeeze in Back To The Future as planned.

The crowds were really appreciative and a great afternoon was had by everyone.

First outing for our new walking out jackets

by Deb Lyons

Thanks to everyone who braved the rain & stopped to listen to our afternoon set at this year’s Bolton Food Festival . What difference a year makes, last year the sun was baking hot and this year it was pouring down! However, this gave us the opportunity to wear our new walking out jackets sponsored by Automatic Alarms.

Everyone agreed that they look great and what’s more kept everyone warm and dry .
